    SMLA October Membership Meeting - FIRE PREVENTION

    October is Fire Prevention Month and the anniversary of the Noyes Street tragedy. Portland’s TOP fire officials and a fire safety vendor (and SMLA member) will present the critical fire safety issues, code explanations, current inspection items, and safety products available. Plus a healthy, moderated Q&A time for all in attendance.

Fire Safety for Landlords: A Free Public Event

Presented by the Southern Maine Landlord Association (SMLA)

Wednesday, November 19th, 5:30 - 6:30 PM

Location: King Middle School Cafetorium – 92 Deering Avenue, Portland

 The recent tragic fire in a multi-family on Noyes Street in Portland has many landlords evaluating fire safety protocols. The Southern Maine Landlord Association is hosting a public event for property owners to refresh themselves on important fire safety precautions and steps to take to ensure their properties and tenants are protected in the event of a fire. This event is free and open to the public.
